KO Angus Awarded Supreme Beef Breed Exhibit

KO Angus Stud from Kangaloon, New South Wales has taken out the top prize in the 2019 Royal Melbourne Show Beef Cattle Competition, with two-and-a-half-year-old cow, KO Dream N43.
Operated by Tim Lord, KO Angus is one of New South Wales’ most successful Showing studs in the industry.

At the Royal Melbourne Show, KO Dream N43 took home the titles of Senior Champion Cow, Supreme Senior Champion Beef Breed Female and Grand Champion Female, with KO Angus also being awarded Most Successful Angus Exhibitor.

Conducted annually by The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV), the 2019 competition attracted more than 550 entries from 160 exhibitors. The Angus Feature Show, celebrating 100 years of registered cattle in Australia, had more than 150 of the breed to compete in what was one of the biggest showings of Angus at the Royal Melbourne Show in ten years.

With a commitment to showcasing and celebrating Victorian agriculture, the competition offers participants the opportunity to benchmark their livestock and receive invaluable feedback from both local and international industry experts.
RASV CEO, Paul Guerra said the 2019 Royal Melbourne Show Beef Cattle Competition highlighted the quality of the production of beef in Australia.

“The Royal Melbourne Show Beef Cattle competition offers participants the opportunity to benchmark their livestock, receive valuable feedback from some of the industry’s most respected judges and provides a unique and valuable platform to connect, engage and educate consumers about the Victorian beef industry”.

“The 2019 Royal Melbourne Show saw the best cattle in the country compete for the prestigious title of Supreme Champion,” said Mr Guerra.

“It has been a stellar Show for Pine Creek Angus Stud and we congratulate them on their continued success.”

“The 2019 Royal Melbourne Show was thrilled to host the Angus Feature and to join in their 100 year celebration, with 150 head competing.”
