Vale Carol Mazurek

The Melbourne Royal Board, management and staff were saddened to learn of the recent passing of Carol Mazurek.

Carol had a long-time involvement with Melbourne Royal and was a wonderful employee of Melbourne Royal for more than 43 years and held various roles across several competitions including dog and cattle.

Carol was known to be a wealth of information, keeping impeccable records and would welcome all with a friendly smile. Carol was also fondly known for baking batches of biscuits including being famous for her melt in the mouth Yo Yo’s, and was duly acknowledged for her involvement with Melbourne Royal receiving Honorary Life membership in 1994.

On retiring from Melbourne Royal in 2017, Carol still remained involved with the Melbourne Royal Show through various roles with Angus Victoria and the Welsh Black Association.

We were thrilled to have Carol join the 175th Melbourne Royal celebrations in 2023 by attending Melbourne Royal's 175th Celebration Gala Dinner, recognising her as a valued member of staff and a significant contributor to Melbourne Royal.
