You can find out more about entering the Melbourne Royal Alpaca Competition and Alpaca Fleece Competitions with these frequently asked questions.
When do entries open / close?

Entries for both the Melbourne Royal Alpaca and Alpaca Fleece Competition will open on Friday 28 June 2024, and close on Wednesday 7 August 2024.

When do I deliver my alpaca / alpaca fleece?

We require all alpaca fleeces to be delivered to the showgrounds by Friday 23 August 2024.

When is arrival for alpacas?

The arrival for alpacas in the halter section will be Friday 27 September 2024.

When is judging?

The dates for Alpaca Halter judging are Saturday 28 September and Sunday 29 September 2024. Judging for the Alpaca Fleece Competition will occur pre-show on Wednesday 11 September 2024.

Can I attend judging?

Anyone is welcome to attend the Halter Competition which is held during show.

When is the collection for alpaca fleeces?

The collection dates for alpaca fleece is Monday 7 October to Friday 25 October. We will not be taking any late collections after the final date.

Will there be an exhibitor function?

There will be an exhibitor function and meeting held the night of Saturday 28 September 2024.
