Grand Champion Female, Grand Champion Bull

Junior and Senior Champions for each breed compete for their respective titles of Grand Champion. The Grand Champion Female and Bull are lined up to determine the Supreme Breed Exhibit. 

Supreme Beef Exhibit 

All Junior and Senior Breed Champions are eligible to compete for their respective titles of Supreme Junior and Senior Beef Breed Heifer, Female and Bull. 

The Supreme Junior Beef Breed Heifer, the Supreme Senior Beef Breed Female, the Supreme Junior Beef Breed Bull and Supreme Senior Beef Breed Bull all compete for the ultimate accolade of Supreme Beef Exhibit in Show. 

Matthew George Young Stockman award

The Matthew George Young Stockman award is presented annually at the Melbourne Royal Show. The award provides young people with an overseas study tour of beef cattle properties to view their breeding programs and practices.

Michael Sutherland Memorial Trophies

Presented to the Grand Champion Female and Grand Champion Bull in the Murray Grey Section.

The Michael Sutherland Memorial Trophy in memory of Michael Andrew Sutherland, passed away 17th December 1955, aged 12. Michael was a gifted young cattleman who was the first of the Sutherlands to break in Murray Grey Cattle for his mother Helen Sutherland, who founded the Murray Grey Breed. Helen Sutherland registered her Michaelong Stud prefix in his memory.
