The Melbourne Royal Board and management were very saddened to learn of the passing of Bob Bell.

As the Head of State and also as the Patron of the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria, Her Excellency the Governor of Victoria, the Hon Linda Dessau AC and her husband Mr Howard AM QC, have provided their best wishes for RASV staff, members and volunteers.

It is with sadness that The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) acknowledges the recent passing of Honorary RASV Life Member Mary de Crespigny, Royal Melbourne Show Horses in Action and Poultry exhibitor Kevin Collins, RASV volunteer Bruce Campbell and Honorary RASV Life Member Joy Johnston.

The RASV Board, management and staff were saddened to learn of the passing of Mr Rob Gaylard. Rob had a long association with the RASV, most notably as the arena announcer for the Horses in Action Competition at the Royal Melbourne Show. The RASV is grateful to Rob for his service and contribution at the Royal Melbourne Show for more than 20 years. Rob will be fondly remembered. Our sincere condolences and sympathy to Rob’s family and friends.

The RASV Board, management and staff were saddened to learn of the passing of Margaret McIver, passing away on 21 July 2020 at the age of 86. Margaret was Australia's first Olympic dressage rider, competing at the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympic Games.
