Five thousand classes, 3000 entries, 200 breeds and four international judges will culminate in one of the largest and most prestigious events in the Southern Hemisphere – the Melbourne Royal All Breeds Championship Dog Show. The glory of winning at one of the country’s most preeminent shows will be intensified this year as Melbourne Royal celebrates 175 years with commemorative ribbons and prizes.

Perfectly presented cakes, painstakingly handcrafted garments and mouth-watering preserves will be just some of the 4,000 entries set to impress at the 2023 Melbourne Royal Art, Craft and Cookery Competition.

The Livestock Pavilion will be home to the Melbourne Royal Beef Cattle Competition from Thursday, September 28 to Sunday, October 1, with the pinnacle event, the Beef Interbreed, held on Saturday, September 30.

The best of the best poultry breeders from across the country will flock to Flemington in September for the Melbourne Royal Poultry Competition.

Schools, studs, commercial producers and agricultural schools and colleges will roll into Flemington in September in pursuit of prize money, a Melbourne Royal blue ribbon and the glory of winning at the 2023 Melbourne Royal Show’s prestigious Beef Carcase Competition during Melbourne Royal’s 175th year.
