2018 Emerging Leaders in Victorian Agriculture awarded Melbourne Royal Initiatives
The 2018 Emerging Leaders in Victorian Agriculture (ELVA) awards were presented by The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) on Thursday 28 June during the sixth annual Agriculture: The Heart of Victoria gala dinner – the Victorian agricultural industry’s night of nights. Co-hosted by RASV and the Victorian Farmers Federation, the event is a celebration of the outstanding food, wine and beer produced by Victorian farmers and makers.

2018 AIBA Results Beer
Breweries from all corners of the country and around the world are celebrating after the results of the 2018 Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA) were announced last night in Melbourne. The largest annual beer competition in the world judging both draught and packaged beer, the AIBA celebrated 26 years of recognising the world’s best beers this year, attracting record participation with 2178 entries across the beer categories, including 120 entries received in the design and media categories

Alpaca and Poultry competitions combined for the first time Melbourne Royal Competitions
The Royal Melbourne Poultry Show and the Royal Melbourne Alpaca Show will be held on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 July 2018 at Melbourne Showgrounds, showcasing Victoria’s premier alpaca competition and one of the most prestigious fanciers’ competitions in the country. For the first time, both competitions will be combined in the Grand Pavilion, Building 7, providing a spectacle of over 1,700 animals for visitors attending the free event.
